In “On the First Beat,” Sammuel Chan Kin Fung’s character was very faithful in love. After Fiona Sit Hui Kei’s character died, he was involved in an ambiguous relationship with Sonija Kwok Sin Lei.
However, Sammuel’s character tried to reunite Sonija and Michael Tao. Unfortunately after the couple reunited, Sonija’s character was killed in a traffic accident.
In real life, Sammul’s romantic rumors are much more interesting. During the filming of “Survivor’s Law II,” Sammul was rumored to be fighting with Ella Koon Yan Na over Ron Ng Cheuk Hei’s affections.
In the past, Sammul’s sexual orientation was often questioned by the press. Although he clarified that he was not gay each time, his protests were uneventful.
Time was the best evidence and Sammul was unafraid that his gay rumors would scare away his female friends. Sammul pointed out that there were more women than men in Hong Kong, thus the odds were in his favor to find a girlfriend.
